Course Title:
The Therapist Matrix: A Reflective Framework for Therapist
Wellbeing and Role Integration
Thursday, June 18th | 8:45–10:00am
Course Description:
This training introduces The
Therapist Matrix, an introspective assessment framework designed to help therapists identify, name, and navigate the complex internal and relational demands of the therapeutic role. Participants will explore key life spheres and assess their current functioning across six clinical and personal dimensions.
Through didactic
instruction, guided self-reflection, and structured assessment, participants will develop increased self-awareness around role conflict, compassion fatigue risk factors, and the intersection of personal values and professional identity. The training emphasizes proactive burnout prevention through holistic self-assessment rather than reactive crisis management.
Learning Objectives: Upon completion, participants will be able to:
Identify and articulate the multiple roles carried simultaneously by therapists in clinical and organizational settings
Apply the Therapist Matrix assessment tool to evaluate current functioning across multiple life spheres
Recognize early indicators of burnout, compassion fatigue, and role conflict using a structured self-reflective
framework
Develop at least one concrete strategy for moving from a depleted to an energized state within a identified life sphere
Describe the relationship between soul care, professional sustainability, and ethical practice
