Hi ,
As August rolls in and summer begins to shift toward fall, I’ve been reflecting on the beauty and the chaos of this season. Honestly? It’s been a mix of both in my world.
With my two boys (13 and 9) home all summer, our days have been full—of fun, noise, messes, and a complete lack of routine.
Between juggling work and trying to soak up family time, it’s felt like a whirlwind. But it’s also been really special. We’ve squeezed in road trips, campfires and s’mores, long bike rides, golf lessons, and hikes in the Colorado sunshine. I did find myself avoiding my favorite trail—Legacy Trail at Gateway Mesa Open Space—because a bear has been hanging out there. As much as I love hiking, I’m not quite up for that kind of adventure!
Now, as we start thinking about back-to-school and shifting schedules, I’m reminded how transitions—like this one—can be both grounding and a little overwhelming. At Authentic Connections Counseling Center (AC3 as we like to abbreviate), we see this time of year as an opportunity for a fresh start, both personally and professionally.
We’re also thrilled to welcome two new therapists to our team: Amy, LPCC, and Natasha, MFTC. They each bring deep compassion and unique clinical strengths that fit beautifully with our mission of helping clients build meaningful, healing connections. We’re so excited for you to meet them.
Whether you’re navigating a big change, craving clarity, or simply needing some space to breathe, know that we’re here for you.
Here’s to new rhythms, continued growth, and finding moments of peace in the transition.
Warm Regards,
